Half and full marathon news

It may not come as a surprise to hear that the route is currently wet, there are puddles and plenty of mud! Although we are currently enjoying a largely dry day the forecast is showing heavy showers returning over the next few days.
Grippy footwear will be essential, and waterproof clothing may help, on a positive note it is warm.

Due to the terrible weather conditions the field that we were going to use for parking at Wilderhope Manor can no longer be used, this has caused a bit of a headache but we will still be able to provide parking for all those who are doing the half marathon. This will be a bit tight so please follow the marshalls advice.
We must however ask that if you do not need to go to Wilderhope Manor that you don't, it is unfortunate but there is nothing we can do about the weather.

There are152 people signed up for the full marathon and 205 doing the half, there is no entry on the day

  1. Had a fantastic half marathon ( although 14:5 miles ???) today. Thanks to all the marshals and support today. And yes it was muddy, but added to the fun :-)

  2. Glad you enjoyed it, i get it to be 13.7 miles. better too long than too short , although your legs may disagree at the moment!

  3. Utterly brilliant half marathon yesterday - possibly slowest ever in the whole world, but had a fab time! Thank you to all concerned, organisation was fantastic and all the marshalls were lovely indeed :)
